Ceefax ... choose page 174 and it is on 100, you have to wait a couple of seconds until it cycles to the page you want. Generally, it occasionally shows up in the early hours of the morning on BBC2 with some waiting room style music in the background. Ceefax also provides subtitling for a programme which is ideal if you need the sound down low or have something loud playing in the background. This is another reason why it was a quick access way to get what you wanted. For me though it has to be the simplicity. TV Licence ... pay my TV licence monthly to the tune of £11.87 per month. My feeling from this is that effectively I m paying against my will to fund a small range of TV and radio channels that in reality are artificially being kept as a prime service and given a huge advantage against the rest of the industry by funding them and if it was any other service then I feel it would be considered anti competitive and against government and European regulations. Put it simply, I feel the whole system is outdated and made a lot of sense thirty years ago when we had three channels and the industry was in its youth. Freeview ... have been using freeview for so many years and we re one of those satisfied customer so we got another one for our bedroom which only cost us £18. It s the cheapest one from tesco, and the brand is called dion. Well I m honestly not familiar with that name but I don t mind the brand really as long as it works. The good thing is it s quite better and smaller than our old freeview box. FREEVIEW It s a digital television that comprises of more channels than regular terrestrial television in UK (BBC1, BBC2, ITV1, Channel 4 and Channel 5).
