Advantages: Lots and lots of good shows

Disadvantages: Not 24 hours a day yet, and MOONLIGHTING isn't on its roster yet!

PARAMOUNT COMEDY CHANNEL is one of the reasons why I am glad I have Sky TV and will never go back to having terrestrial non-digital (unless I have a sudden lack of financial funds, that is).

The main reason why Paramount makes me very happy is the fact that it is giving me the opportunity to build up my collection of one of my favourite television shows ever, CHEERS. When the shows was coming to its end on Channel 4 I first got a VCR and started recording every episode, but since I have got Paramount they have begun showing the series from the very beginning and so I am now overloaded with episodes! They show EIGHT episodes a week! Not that I get a chance to watch them though - I think that I have about 35 sitting waiting for me to get round to watching them! Maybe over my Christmas holiday!

Other shows which Paramount airs are SPIN CITY, which has just come to and end again, and BECKER. BECKER disappoints me because much as I like Ted Danson this show simply seems to be an excuse for him to shout and complain a lot - I'm like that in real life, I don't want to watch a TV show about it!!

SEINFELD is always on regularly - I never managed to get into that. ROSEANNE follows CHEERS on a nightly basis, and hopefully when I've finished my run of CHEERS I'll start taping that. ROSEANNE is one of those shows which started off well, got better, and then it's main star got so successful and important in the life of the show that their desires came first, and the show went to pot. I've never seen a series where the final season was so much 'against' all that had gone before.

Anyway - Paramount Comedy Channel is a must see. Apparently they are due to extend their hours in the New Year which will enable them to show many more shows (apparently MOONLIGHTING will be on their list - this was one of my favourite shows ever!), so roll on that day!
