Advantages: Good schedules, Loads of great oldies, Loads of great newbies

Disadvantages: Perhaps they repeat some proggies too much, Poor comedies often show during the day

I've had this channel since about 1995 (when it was 'the Paramount Channel'), but I've only started watching it in the last few years.

I started because I noticed that they were repeating 'Father Ted', so I watched those again and again. Then I also started to watch 'the Paul Merton Show' and 'A Bit of Fry and Laurie'. Then I carried on watching these when 'Father Ted' finished- and these led me into watching 'Drop the Dead Donkey'- which in turn led me to 'the Micalef Programme' and the comedy store.

This is the great thing with Paramount- you seem to start watching things you perhaps wouldn't usually and then start to love them because of clever scheduling.

I also think Paramount represents good value, as, unlike UK Gold etc., some of what it shows is either new to UK TV, or hasn't been shown on terrestrial for donkey's years and therefore deserves another look!

I love the PCC! At the moment I'd particularly recommend-
'Drop the Dead Donkey'

'The Micalef Programme' (I know that's spellt wrong btw)
Mon-Thur @11pm

PCC is available on On Digital from 7pm every night on channel 39

and on Sky Dig. 24 hours a day, on channel 127 (I think!)


Finally, check PCC text either on Sky Digital or at ptext.co.uk - and have a look in the letters section- it's like a club for the socially rejected- and i love it.
