Q TVNewest Review: ... appears as someone phones up to request it. This means that is three people phone up one after the other requesting video 137, video 137 will still only be played once. However, the calls are logged, and a chart compiled of the top 10 requested tracks on the station, a run down of which pops up every couple of hours. Q didn't used to run adverts, save for promos for new release albums, ... more More other TV channels

Oh dear. Whatever happened to Q? Channel 453 used to be one of my regular calling channels on Sky, along with Kerrang! and MTV2, but now I watch it less and less frequently. Why is this? Well, a few weeks ago, Q drastically altered it's output. It went from a "credible" channel, showing the likes of Travis, Starsailor, Ash, U2, etc, to just another pop station showing the likes of Westlife, Blue et al. Admittedly, the likes of Oasis, Nickleback and some more guitar based bands still pop up occasionally, but much less frequently than before. Q is on of the EMAP owned channels on Sky - alongside Magic, Smash Hits, Kiss, Kerrang! and the Box. ... Read the complete review

Q is definetly the best digital music channel at the moment. It offers something for pretty much everyone. Q has a fine plend of rap, pop, rock, indie and dance all jumbled together to form a great channel with loads of choice. They only seem to play the best videos on it unlike some of the other channels which play stuff which is still popular. Q has new releases current chart items and great songs from a few years back. This is the kind of channel which makes the digital subscription fee worth paying, check it out now. You do not know what you are missing. ... Read the complete review

When Q first launched on Digital tv, it was wonderful.. You could pretty much gurantee that in any given hour you'd see at least 2 Red Hot Chilli Peppers videos, Aerosmith, Foo Fighters and the like. Now that it's being going for a while, more video's have been added to the play list and it's starting to turn into a better-quality version of the Box. It works like this - there are a list of videos available - you ring up, pay 25p or whatever for the cost of the phone call and choose the video you want to watch. You then wait....and wait.....and wait utnil your video comes on. The nice thing when it first started was the lack of ... Read the complete review

I have an "intresting" taste in music, to say the least. This means that I rarely change over to the vast array of music channels that seem to be on offer these days. However Q changed all this. Admittably it does not always play songs to my liking, but then, what does? With my preferences in, Queen, Jimmi Hendrix, R.E.M. and the Beatles, I rarely see my favourites. However Q introduced me to "modern" music. That is not to say I now like Craig David or even the really annoying Limp Biscuit (Bizkit sorry). No, but I have found some great rare beauties that I never would have known without Q. Thank you Q, now I can download ... Read the complete review

How many times have you sat in fromt of your television, switched over to satellite, cable or digital, and hope and prayed that this time, just one time, you could switch on to a music channel and not be confronted with the usual disposable, impassionate teeny bopper crap that today's pop culture inflicts upon us? The number of times I have switched onto MTV, VH1, or god forbid, The Box, and thought to myself - "If this music were food, it would taste like cardboard." I thought my problem was solved with MTV2. The alternative music division's answer to MTV, MTV2 was supposed to give us another option, a choice to get away from Britney and Steps ... Read the complete review
