Advantages: Good array of music and few adverts

Disadvantages: Its only Music!

I have an "intresting" taste in music, to say the least.

This means that I rarely change over to the vast array of music channels that seem to be on offer these days. However Q changed all this.
Admittably it does not always play songs to my liking, but then, what does?
With my preferences in, Queen, Jimmi Hendrix, R.E.M. and the Beatles, I rarely see my favourites. However Q introduced me to "modern" music.

That is not to say I now like Craig David or even the really annoying Limp Biscuit (Bizkit sorry). No, but I have found some great rare beauties that I never would have known without Q. Thank you Q, now I can download them onto MP3 and listen to them over and over again.

Q, like many other music channels is a phonein jukebox. You phone in with the track you want out of a selection, and they play it.
I have never actually phoned in, so I do not know what response time is like or if they even play it at all. However the songs they do play are much better than the horrible, horrible MTV and Box. (sorry I hate R&B ect)

The other thing that surprised me about Q is the lack of adverts. I honour this, unlike many other cable channels that seem to have adverts more than programs, Q seems to have none. Not once when i have watched it have there been adverts. However a friend assures me that they are on sometimes.

So, if you have a different type of music interest than most of the rest of the world, then Q is quite good. If you have a "normal" music taste then Q is also quite good. I would also like to reccomend Vh1 which also suites my bizzare array of music taste.

Yeah... I love this channel. They play plenty of rock etc, without much 'urban' rubbish like hip hop and RnB that I can't stand.

Well, you seem to think the same way I do about music (except for your comment about Limp Bizkit - I love them...and no, I am not an angry 13 year old trying to get back at the world, I just like the music...it's good to jump around to, heh). And the response time for Q appears to be pretty good; they show the song codes at the side of the screen as people phone them in, and I timed one of themo once...takes about 40 minutes, which may seem quite a long time, but when compared to, say, The Box which may take up to two hours, it aint that bad (and who wants to wait two hours for crappy Britney Spears anyway...).

I too like this channel, it's kinda like a better version of "The box" That doesn't play boy/girl bands all day :)
