Advantages: Good after sales service, reasonble P&P charges

Disadvantages: RRP prices may be inflated

QVC is a television shopping channel which currently broadcasts to a number of countries around the world including the USA & the UK. For the purposes of this review, I'm going to talk about the UK version which started broadcasting in October 1993. It's available on satellite, cable & freeview as well as having an online website.

It sells a whole variety of products from clothes, shoes, jewellery & other accessoires to electronics & a range of household items. Their programing is normally seperated into specific hours which showcase a certain vaierty of products, although they often have hours which feature a variety of products from their entire range.

Each day, they have one product available known as the "Today's Special Value". This is supposed to be their big product of the day which is seen at many times during the day & is available at a very special price for a 24 hour period. However be careful with this, some times these deals are quite good but often their RRP is heavily inflated as I've noticed in the past.

If you're careful however there are some good buys to be had in general. They also offer alot of their items on interest free payments where you can split the payment upto 4 months dependent on the product.

I have also noticed that their after sales service is pretty good & they have a freephone number available. Also their postage & packing prices aren't overinflating.

Overall I would say, before buying from the channel have a look around, just to see what the particular product sells for elsewhere as their RRP may sometimes be abit over the top.

Summary: Some good buys to be had however shop around first
