Advantages: Decent variety of sports shown

Disadvantages: poor service at times

If you had to compare Setanta sport with Sky sports then the difference really is night and day, because as both compete to show the best sport there really is only one winner and that aint Setanta not by a long way.

The quality that Setanta produces isnt a particulary great one at all with various problems to the quality of the service throughout the time I have been subscibed to the service.

But I shall focus on the positives first and Setanta does offer a decent variety of sports to keep most fans happy, if it is football you are after then Setanta does offer a decent variety with Epl games being shown, although they have just lost one of the packages to Sky so that means there will be less of these games which will be a bit of a blow to setanta. There is also the Spl football which is covered pretty poorly with the commentators being particulary annoying especially Scott Booth who really must be the most awful and hopeless commentator around. There is also German, french as well as other varietys of football on offer.

The service also offers a variety of other live sports including the likes of boxing and golf, and the coverage of these is not to bad but you do feel that the quality of service isnt quite there and just isnt the same as Sky sports.

There is also othere problems that I have had with the service as well including the picture freezing during the likes of football which has happended a few times including one time when the picture eventually came back on after 25mins and when it did come back on you hardly got an apology at all.

Overall Setanta sports does get some things right but also wrong as well, there quality of service is slowly getting better but compared to other competitors they arent really in the same league.

Summary: Decent service but it can be improved on
