Advantages: Pokemon (tut)

Disadvantages: WWF

Why do Sky 1 show WWF straight after the Simpsons? Pokemon is on before the Simpsons. I dont mind the little ones watching the Simpsons because most of the 'near the mark' stuff fortunately goes over their heads!. But then straight after it they show WWF. Apart from the fact that I cannot understand grown adults paying extortionate prices to go and watch these grown men 'pretend' to wrestle, I wish they would put it on at a time when little ones are in bed!. The kids act out wwf in the playground and it is so dangerous!. My son damaged tendons in his elbow (it swelled up like a balloon for a whole week, and when the bruising started to come out, there were colours I had never seen!!). He was in absolute agony. All because a child had 'body slammed him'. Children need to be taught gentle and kind behaviour, not be encouraged to wrestle and hurt!.

Bloody hell, that last comment is littered with mistakes - how shameful!

' If the WWF INSISTS on glamourising violence... they should at least PUT it ON after the water-shed'

Sorry to be such a bore, but that was bugging me!

Me too! As a child, I remember vividly leaping into a swimming pool with my arms spread and my legs cocked back - a foolish attempt to copy the move of my favorite 'wrestler'. Suffice to say, I was badly winded and floated in the corner feeling sorry for myself until the end of the lesson. This is one are I left out of my own opinion, and it's a very valid one that perhaps you as a mother would be better equipped to see. If the WWF insist on glamourising violence, amongst other things, then they should at least stick put it after the water-shed
