Sky 1 is Sky's flagship entertainment channel broadcasting 24 hours a day on Satellite & Cable. Satellite viewers can also take advantage of a high definition simulcast of the channel with a large amount of native HD material available. A large number of the high profiled american dramas such as Prison Break & Lost can be found ...  Read the complete review

Sky One is the most recognisable channels that is associated with Sky, with its introduction when Sky first started broadcasting in the 1980s, and the channel came under the ownership of Sky as "Sky Channel" to what we know today as Sky One. Sky One or Sky1 has it has been recently rebranded, is Sky's main flagship entertainment that ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Sky 1: CHANNEL FOR LOST! (257 words)

Sky 1, usually one of the flagship chanels associated with Sky Television. This channel has been part of SKy nearly since they launched years ago and and although there is now Sky 2 and Sky 3, Sky 1 is the best in my view. There is always the new and in my view some of the best programmes on this channel. As of tomorrow Lost season 5 ...  Read the complete review

I have always loved Sky One, and I end up watching it most nights as it has classic shows such as The Simpsons and Futurama. Recently there was a dispute between Virgin Media and Sky which resulted in Sky one being taken off of the list for Virgin channels, so for a while the only way to keep up with your favourite Sky one shows was to ...  Read the complete review

Just another Virgin customer to recieve Sky 1 in the last few months so why not give it a review eh? :D. I used to have Sky 1 on my old cable box a good 4 or 5 years when there were only 51 channels I could get. Back then the only reason I watched Sky 1 was for the Simpsons, there really was nothing else I enjoyed on the ...  Read the complete review

Sky has always been one of the biggest non-terrestrial channels, and now it's available on Virgin Media again it's set to become even bigger. Generally their large budget means they win rights to show the majority of decent American TV programs, and this is pretty much where they choose to focus; Family Guy, the Simpsons, Malcom in the Middle as ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Sky 1: The Best (253 words)

Sky One is probably my most watched channel in the UK, available on sky channel 106, it provides some of the latest and greatest programming from the US aswell as some of its own house made programming. The channel has been running back since Analogue Sky, as a commercial channel it is paid for by advertising on the channel and sky ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Sky One is Number One (128 words)
by - written on 06/06/07 (Somewhat useful, 77 readings)

Sky One is in my oppinion the best TV Channel in England, it offers a wide variety of shows including LOST, 24, Dream Team, The Simpsons and More. One of the things i love about Sky One is that it airs its shows very near the original American airing date, so you dont have to wait around for ages to see your favourite Show. Before LOST ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Sky 1: Why can't Sky One be on Freeview? (158 words)
by - written on 30/07/06 (Not useful, 2632 readings)
Rating:

It really does pee me off that Sky One is not on Freeview. It is a free channel on Sky and NTL, why not Freeview? Nearly all of my friends have one of those services and I'm stuck watching Season 1, 2, 3, and 4 on Channel 4. They could at least put Season 8, 9 and 10 or even Season 13, 14 and 15 on Sky Three. That would be a godsend, and Brainiac. ...  Read the complete review

I sometimes wonder why my mum never watches the satelite channels, is it because she is either used to terrestrial television or does she find the range of new programmes that are for people from the dinosaur ages are on terrestrial but she doesn't want to watch the repeat of programmes that she likes on satellite??? I know the reason why she ...  Read the complete review

Sky One is the most watched of the hundreds on non-terrestrial channels, and has been providing entertainment programmes to the UK through various means since 1990. Available as a free channel on Sky Digital and NTL (although not on Freeview, which former users of the defunct On Digital/ITV Digital can now use), it broadcasts around the clock. ...  Read the complete review

Sky One is one of the main channels you get free with all Sky subscriptions, and personally, apart from The Simpsons and Futurama, I'd actually pay good money to never have to see (or hear anyone else talking about) anything else on the channel. Everything else on Sky One is generally very boring. Programmes such as 'Buffy' ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Sky 1: Sky One - the ONLY one (271 words)
by - written on 17/06/02 (Useful, 62 readings)

I hate to admit this, but I do watch TV quite a lot, probabily for six or seven hours a day. However nice the terrestrial channels are, they all seem to have the habit of showing good things surrounded by hours of stuff I just don't want to watch! Sky One is different, theres always something good on. First thing in the morning we get ...  Read the complete review

I've had Sky for a few years now, when Sky digital was released I upgraded to it straight away. Premium Review Sky 1: Give us a BREAK! (678 words)
by - written on 31/01/02 (Very useful, 74 readings)
Rating:

As you will probably eventually see, I am a great fan (and believer? I hate using that word) of the BBC. Good old BBC. We pay a tiny amount of money each year to have access to advert free, generally good quality and minimalised (not a word) repeats. This is what I like. So, as I'm sure you can understand, I'm not too keen on Sky 1 at ...  Read the complete review

Sky One comes with your subscription package for Sky Digital (I take it that it does with cable as well but I can't be sure) so really it is good since it is basically free. There is a current trend just now with trashy real life type programmes like Survivor, Ibiza/Greece/Jamacia/whatever Uncovered, Temptation Island, The Villa etc ...  Read the complete review
