We had sky for about 3 years now, an having badgered my other half for a new tv ( HD ) of course it was only right we upgraded and got sky HD. Luckily we waited and got it for £49 discounted, but to be honested knowing what i know now i wouldve paid the £199 they were originally selling for. Of course you will need a HD tv to support the HD box.
The quality is outstanding, there is a real difference in the channels and yes we do show all visitors and flick between normal tv and a Hd channel and so far everyone can tell the difference.
The fella of course loves its on sky sports.. the football games are clear, precise and actually give the illusion your at the game..
The box itself has great functions.. i wont bore you with the spec but being able to record one channel and also pause the channel im actually watching - well that is just space age stuff and brilliant!

Summary: worth every penny
