We had Sky+ HD installed in our apartment last month. We have a three year old Phillips 42inch plasma tv. When the engineer installed the box he informed us that the picture may not be flawless due to the age of our television, however once we were hooked up my boyfriend automatically tuned in to Sky Sports 1 HD and the picture was flawless. HD quality really does make a difference when you're watching movies at home and it has definitely stopped me buying so many Bargain Bin DVD's in my local supermarket!
The box itself is fairly small (in comparison to previous sky boxes) and has a sleek black slimline design which looks great on the shelf underneath the TV. It also has an energy saving feature built it which means it automatically switches to standby mode when it is not active (however it can still record in this mode)
I'd recommend this to anybody thinking about getting Sky, you get tons more HD channels than with Virgin, it's very user friendly and you just can't beat the picture quality, only downside is Sky customer service - we're still waiting for our phoneline and router to be sent out and set up. Be prepared to be put on hold for at least 10mins if you ever have a query! However from my experience (so far) there's not much to complain about!
