SKY MOVIES comprises all of the Sky movie channels broadcast on the Sky Digital satellite television system in the UK. Together these are known as the 'Movies Mix' and need to be subscribed to collectively, the viewer cannot subscribe to them as individual channels. The price of subscription differs depending on the complete package you receive, but personally I receive the 'Movies Mix' and the 'Variety Mix' and pay £34 each month, although the 'Variety Mix' alone would cost £16 per month. I am therefore paying £18 per month for the privilege of receiving the Sky Movies package.

The 'Movies Mix' consists of a variety of channels, including those devoted to science fiction / horror, comedy, action / thriller, and family movies. As part of the package you also receive Disney Cinemagic (and a timeshifted version of that channel, showing the same programming but 1 hour later). It is also possible to receive Sky Movies HD1 & HD2 which are 2 high-definition movie channels, but as I do not yet own a high-definition TV set (hopefully I will in the next 18 months) I do not make use of those channels.

The variety of movies that the channels show is very good, with the films shown repeatedly at different times of the day so that if you miss the film you are looking for on one day you are sure to find a showing at another time on another day.

Overall, the Sky Movies package is well worth the money if you enjoy watching films on TV.
