Advantages: watch tv when you want, forward adverts, rewind the channel your watching

Disadvantages: sky charges you for the box, then a subscription fee

How did I ever cope without it, recording 2 channels or record one chanel and watch another, no noticible loss off picture quality or sound quality. 80 gb hard drive allows for many hours of programs stored. recording via series link ensure you never miss and episode. The boxes are easy to use and with onscreen guides its even simpler than a VCR. Sky does charge for sky plus but if you take out a premium package i.e one that includes sports/movies, they waive this charge. in my opinion throw out you VCR and get a plus box.

Summary: al round if you take a premium package well worth it

There is a monthly charge of £10, unless you have a package containing movies/sports channels. If you have these channels you pay nothing. Sky have the ability to turn functions off if you do not wish to pay. You are however tied in for a year

I am thinking of getting one of these but as a potential purchaser your review did not really asist me in how it work if there is amonthly charge and what the cost is if you don't have all the channels.
