Advantages: Lots of features, series link, anytime tv.

Disadvantages: You can only record two programs at the same time, minor complaint.

As a fan of Sky since the early 90s when my parents got sky, when moving into our new house with my girlfriend we had to get sky.

We have now had sky plus for nearly a year and we couldn't be with out it, it is so good. Sky has so much choice available, there are lots of repeats of programs/ series and lots of good programs out there, with just one touch on the button (the red circle with the white R). The programs get stored onto the hard drive of the box, wit the standard box storing 40 hours of programs, this seems quite a lot but tends to fill up quite quickly!

You can watch one channel while you are recording another channel or record two channels at the same time with you watching one of them or watching something from your planner. I think it would be good if you could watch/record more than two, there have been quite a few times when I wanted to do this.

Another useful feature is the 'series link' which automatically records every show of a particular series. Even if the shows is on different days/time it will record each episode.

The ability to 'pause' live is an excellent feature and say for example the phone rings or somebody knocks on your door you can just pause the program you are watching and then resume from where you left off when you return.

Sky Anytime is a useful feature that allows you to pick shows from the last couple of weeks which you can either watch or store to your box. They are only available for a certain period of time, but it is a useful feature which is worth a look at.

There are reports of some people experiencing problems with their Sky + box, including the picture freezing, and not recording sometimes. We have experienced the picture freezing a couple of times but nothing too disastrous.

Summary: If you like TV you should have this in your life, AMAZING!
