I have been a Sky customer for over 15 years and only converted over to Sky + a couple of years ago and what can I say? Why did I wait so long?!

Sky + offers so much more than just your bog standard digibox. You can record programmes or rewind what you are watching.

The box and system are also extremely easy to use. You can find the programme you want to record by using the TV Guide. You scroll through the programmes listed and once you have found it you highlight it and simply hit the "R" for record button on your remote control and that's it - it will record for you. You can also set the box up to ensure an entire TV series is recorded for you.

You can record 2 programmes at a time whilst still watching another channel, which I have to say isn't a feature I have ever used but my daughter has, such is her love of the features on Sky +!

Another brilliant feature is the ability to record programmes even when you are away from home. To do this you merely have to access the Sky website, log in and visit the TV guide there to select what you wish to record. So long as you choose a programme 30 minutes before it is due to start, your Sky + box will record it. This is great for when I have been out and realised late in the day there was something on TV I wanted to watch!

My only criticism of Sky + is sometimes the box refuses to switch on due to static build-up. When I reboot the box it can take up to five minutes to come back on again so if you want to be sure you won't miss something be sure to check your box is on in good time.

The box also automatically goes into standby after its been left off for a certain period of time - so every morning expect to have to switch it back on again.

In my opinion Sky already offer an excellent product and this just adds to my high opinion of satellite TV and what options there are available for it.
