Advantages: Easy to use, good amount of storage space.

Disadvantages: Quite expensive outlay, and you have to have a Sky subscription to record the sky channels.

Sky+ really has changed the way we watch TV.

I was a bit sceptical about getting it to start with as it seemed quite expensive, but hubby decided it would be great as our HD recorder was a faff and we weren't really using it.

It worked out that we sold the HD recorder for about what we paid for the Sky+ box so it didn't work our too bad!

I certainly wouldn't want to go without it now.

It is so easy to use, you can pause and rewind live TV, if you are watching a program and decide you want to save it you just press record and it saves the whole program, you can 'series link' so you don't miss an episode of your favourite serial/drama/soap - it automatically records all episodes then!

Basically it means that we can watch what we want when we want to - a fantastic thing when you have a baby getting you up at 5am so are going to bed at 9pm but still want to watch the likes of House, Lost & Desperate Housewives.

We have never managed to fill our box with programmes to watch yet, it tells you how much space a programm takes up on your box and also how much space you have left so you know when you need to do some serious deleting of stuff you have watched. We currently have around 6-8 movies, some 30-40 min episodes of stuff and few odd bits and bobs on ours and it is only 50% full!

You can also record one channel whilst you are watching another, or record 2 channels at the same time if you are out.
