Advantages: You can pause and rewind live TV aswell as recording it at the same time!!

Disadvantages: You can only record two things and only one if your watching something else as well!!

I don't have this personally in my home, but my parents do, and they had it for two years before I left home, so I have a good idea on it!!
Sky plus is basically sky, the same programmes, same channels and the same price (you pay an installation fee of £99 but after this you pay no extra for sky plus!). The onyl difference is you can pause, rewind and record live TV.
I'll expain by using an example:

Your watching a film on Sky Premier, there are no adverts during the film as Sky Movies don't have advert breaks.
Your 5 year old starts complaining that they want a drink, they won't be quiet or sit still until you get them one, and you've wanted to watch this film for months...so instead of egtting up and missing it, you can hit pause, like you would with a DVD, you can pause for as long as you want, an hour if you please, anyway, you get the drink, you come back and hit play, and you watch from where you paused from.

Its a bug helping hand and means you don'#t end up missing half your programme if the phone rings, or someone comes to the door, or you need the bathroom or whatever reason!!!

Also, if you pause for example Corrie, for 15 minutes while your friend has phoned to tell you the latest gossip, you then have the ability to fast forward the TV up to 15 minutes (or however long you paused for!!) meaning you can then fastforward through the adverts!! :-D

Now the only problem with Sky Plus, is that you can only record two things at once, and one of them has to be something your watching, for example, you can't watch BBC 1 while recording ITV and Channel 4 at the same time. But its good if you are in the situation I am often in, that BBC 1 and ITV have something good on at the same time!!!

Well anyway in conclusion, Sky + is a great idea if you watch a lot of Tv!!!! :-)
