What a fantastic invention Sky+ has been! Yes I know it is just an updated version of an old video recorder, but the advances are phenomenal. I remember when advances had been made so that you could type in the numbers after your programme from the Radio Times and if you had a new enough video recoredr it would know what programme to record, but Sky+ is even more advanced!

I like that you can scroll through channels to see what is on and if ther is anything on that you like, but cant see you just push the 'R' to record, it is so simple to use. I like the way you can find a prograame in the planner just by typing in the initial letter and then you can see what channel it is on, when and from there you can record it.

One of the best features is the series link function which means you will never miss another episode of your favourite drama, as Sky+ will find all episodes in the series and record them for you, you do not have to remember to go in and press 'R' for every one, just hit 'Series Link' and it will do the rest.

I really do wonder how television life existed before Sky+! Being able to hit pause while watching the football on Sky sports while you nip to make a cuppa is a great ide and means you don't miss a thing! It is great that if you have recorded something you can fast forward through the ads and you do not waste time. It is also helpful for those really dull matches too!

I was lucky and got a deal from Sky, so the installation was free and all I have to pay are my monthly bills. The most basic is £16 a month, but I get the sports. I used to have the movies but so many things are repeated and there really is not that much new stuff that I cancelled it.

I used to have ordinary sky when I lived at home, but now my family all have it in their homes, as it is just the best thing ever, so simple to use and very handy!
