Advantages: Rewind, record, pause live TV!

Disadvantages: very few....

Sky Plus is one of the best inventions ever! I simply couldn't live without it. Sky Plus is basically the same as Sky digital, but with much more! You can pause live tv, record programmes, rewind live tv, set up series link to record every episode in a series and watch your favourite programmes over and over again!

Its very simple to use, it really doesn't take a genius to work it out. The control is well labelled. Simple press the Red R button to record, you can even record 2 programmes at a time as long as you are also watching one of them. You can rewind live tv too, so say if someone starts talking and you miss a bit, just press rewind! The rewind setting has about 4 different speeds which is really useful. I find I like to record my favourite programmes and then watch them back but fast forward through the adverts.

The only problem is that sometimes the recording doesn't work due to loss of signal, or the end may be cut off. But this is down to bad weather or just an old satalite that my parents refuse to change!

When recording programmes it tells you how much memory is left. There is plenty of room, you can usually fit between 20-30 programmes depending on the length of time, but you find most programmes can be deleted as soon as you watch them.

I think the main benefit is just having programmes ready to watch when you want! I often look through the guide to see whats on and just set a load of programmes to watch. So when I am bored I have a choice of great programmes.

I think at the moment theres a deal of for new customers, something like £50 for a sky plus box with free installation, which is a fantastic offer! It then costs between £20 - £50 a month depending on what package you get. Highly recommended!
