Sky plus a family thing (Sky Plus (Sky+))
Member Name: jd001
Advantages: Series link, pause, racording 2 things at once plus many more Disadvantages: Every now and again a programme will fail to record Sky plus, well what can I say I think my family would find it really hard to be without it now, especially my 10 year old and 12 year old daughters who both have different likes an interests, as you can record 2 channels at once or watch one while you tape another many an impending argument over who watches what has been solved using the benfits of sky plus. I can't make out its just the children who benefit from it though, without series link I would miss so many of my favourite shows. Series link is basically what it says if you record one programme from part of a series with the click of the green button you can set the whole series to tape automatically (really really sad I know and I can't believe I'm actually going to admit this but I taped a whole 2 weeks of big brother while I was away in Tenerife and watched them all when I got back). Basically it is easy and convenient, any programmes you record are listed in your planner and you can choose to view them from here either from the beginning or from how far into the show you want to start viewing, watching a recorded programme also has the benefits of being able to fast forward the adverts. It also changes the experience of watching live television as you can pause the programme (great for toilet breaks or stocking up on munchies when watching a family film) or rewind something you missed. There are so many advantages I'm sure theres plenty I haven't mentioned but from a family point of view I have detailed our favourites. Summary: Makes life easier! |
