I love sky plus. It is not cheap (around £40 per month) but if you like television then really it is a must. Really one does not get an amazing amount of extra value in terms of channels and programmes (I still find myself with nothing good to watch sometimes) but the recording functionality is fantastically useful and easy to use. By series linking any shows that I like the sky plus box will automatically record them for me and so I never miss a thing that I want to see. The sports package is great for watching football matches and the movies are ok although I find that I have mostly seen whatever is being shown. The bottom line is that sky plus has really changed my life and I would be very unhappy to not have it any more. I am not yet sold on the benefit of having sky plus HD because it is £10 more a month (not to mention the cost of the new box) and not that many channels are broadcast in HD yet.
