Last christmas my family decided to take the plunge and get SKY+ for the main lounge and an ordinary SKY box for my daughters room. The SKY+ box has been a bit temperamental. Within 3 months it just shut down and wouldnt play or record anything. We were a frustrated lot. I rang the phone number given and a message told me that the number had changed....really annoying. Eventually i got through to an operative and he went through a re booting process. This failed. The descision was made to send out a technical bloke...he came out within 48 hours...and he rang to make sure the time was convenient. He replaced the box and told me there had been a faulty batch....this was one of many from christmas he had replaced. The down side was we lost a lot of the saved films and programmes. Sky were prompt and did not fob me off. 8 months later we had a similar problem. I rang SKy...again it was a different number....arrgghhh...but we went through the re boot process and it worked this time. The hard drive in the box sometimes need to be de fragmented...just like a pc. So all in all SKY have been helpful. BUT PLEASE WILL THEY SORT OUT THE PHONE NUMBER!!!
