Advantages: The ability to manipulate TV to your will

Disadvantages: Installation costs, we have sometimes had patchy reception but that isnt common.

Sky plus is simply the only way to watch to watch T.V

Sky + is the service offered by Sky that allows people to revolutionise their television experience. Sky + allows you to pause, rewind and record t.v. All of the songs are then stored on the hard-drive inside the Sky digi-box. You are then able to watch them whenever you so wish. I do find the ability to pause t.v to be very useful especially if you get an unexpected caller at the door or on the phone.

Another useful feature that Sky + has is the ability to program in Sky to record an entire series of television shows meaning that you cannot miss an episode of your favourite T.V series should you forget to record it or have an important thing to do which would clash with your favourite shows. All you have to do is press the green button to choose it to series link whilst negotiating the TV menu. It is worth noting that the series link is not available for all programs and is worth checking to make sure so that you do not miss your shows based on an assumption.

I have found the space that you get on the hard-drive in the sky box to be more than enough for even the keenest T.V watcher, we have recorded lots of shows and have still only used 50% of the storage space. This has included recording a lot of football matches too!.

One thing we did find problematic with Sky was in that they wanted to charge us an installation fee even though we had been Sky customers for nearly 10 years, we found the notion of having to pay to remain so to be a rather impolite gesture. We did EVENTUALLY manage to get them to waive it but it took a good solid hour of haggling with us threatening to cancel our sky subscription altogether. The fee for a SKY + box is £49 + a £30 installation fee should you wish to get it, it is also worth noting that you do need a BT line to get SKY so if you do not have one that is an added cost to bear in mind.

I think that overall we couldn't have been happier with how Sky + has performed for us. I can't believe we uesd to watch T.V before Sky + came along, I cannot recommend it enough and urge you to get it should have the sufficient finances to do so.5
