Advantages: easy to use, very convenient

Disadvantages: Can't record 2 programmes at same time

As daft as it may sound, Sky Plus has actually improved my social life. The reason being that I used to often stay in to watch my favourite programmes rather than going to the pub with my mates simply because I didn't want to miss them.

Since the introduction of Sky Plus though, I have found that I can record my programmes and still go and have a few drinks! It is so easy and quick to use as well. All you have to do is find the programme you wish to watch on the planner and press the record button and your programme is set up to record. Long gone are the days when you had to record on video and type in a big long number! If you have heard about a programme you might like to watch and are not sure what time or channel it is on, you can search by the genre of the programme to find and record.

Another great option is that when you go to record your programme, you are given the option to record the whole series so that you don't have to go back to the same place every week or set a reminder to record.

The only disadvantage I can think of is that you cannot record 2 programmes that are being shown at the same time. There have been a few occasions where I have had to choose which programme to record and I think Sky would be able to find a way around this.

Summary: very easy to use and convenient
