Having been with Sky for a number of years I recently had an issue with my Sky box so contacted Sky to let them know I was going to be cancelling my contract as I was not prepared to pay out for a new box but when they offered me up a Sky+ HD box for free including installation I simply had to go for it and haven't looked back since.
Sky+ is a simple yet brilliant piece of equipment as it is a hard drive inside of your Sky set box allowing you to record direct to the box itself which does not sound amazing at all but it is the simplicity that allows this to be such a great product.
Using your control you can easily setup to record programmes and even setup to record whole series with minimum fuss. Recordings are of an excellent standard and can be kept for as long as wanted which is something I find brilliant about this as Sky easily could have said that it was only going to allow programmes to stay on for a set period.

Simple to use and well designed the Sky+ product we see today is going to be a big selling point for the future and we will see huge developments to move this onto the next level in the coming years but for now we have a simply amazing product which costs no extra on your normal Sky subscription.
