Sky Sports 1 TV Channel

Newest Review: ... IPL). The Ashes in 2009 were fantastically broadcast in HD which was a pleasure to watch. For the rest of the summer they have a monopoly over the county matches too. The cash inflow into Sky enables them to buy out all the most popular pundits, commentators and presenters, which in all makes for a better view and better analysis. I definitely agree with BBC keeping the major sporting events (such as the open, wimbledon etc), but they really struggle to keep up with the quality in coverage. Sky sports is really not a difficult decision for a sports fan. It's worth the £20 a month (for sports alone).... more

Sky Sports 1: A sports fan's dream (210 words)

Rating:

I currently am subscribed to the full sky package, which includes H.D., sky plus, movies, everything else, and most importantly sports. Without sky sports, I would be completely stuck. Within the last few years sky have started buying up most major sporting fixtures. When this started happening, I quickly shifted to sky and have since been drawn into everything they offer. I am primarily a cricket fan, and so it was rather an easy decision to sign up to sky, seeing as 99% of all cricket is shown there (with the exception of ITV 4's IPL). The Ashes in 2009 were fantastically broadcast in HD which was a pleasure to watch. For the rest of the summer ...  Read the complete review

The channels offer a wide range of sports, which include; - Football (Barclays Premier League, Coca-Cola Championship, UEFA Champions League, Carling Cup, Coca-Cola League 1 and League 2, La Liga, Scottish Premier League and the end of year Play-offs for the Coca-Cola leagues.) - Boxing - Rugby - Golf - Tennis - Wrestling - Surfing - Wakeboarding - Aerobics. It may cost you a lot extra per month which all adds up in the end, but the package ...  Read the complete review

Sky Sports (255 words)

Rating:

Sky Sports is a brilliant channel for Sports fans but the problem I have with it is the price. I am tempted to cancel Sky but the one thing that makes me reluctant to cancel it is this channel. This channel has all the major sports and the best ones on it! It has things like premier league football, champions league, FA Cup, rugby matches, cricket, tennis and so much more. They often have very big sporting events and although things like Champions League matches are available on ITV on Sky you can choose from about 12 different matches which is excellent! Also the commentary is much better on Sky than on ITV! You even see things like WWE and the Spanish ...  Read the complete review
