Sky Sports 1

Newest Review: ... games of the season. On top of this it's the best place to get all of the European football action, for example the champions league and Euro cup. But I think one of the channel's great strengths is it's balance of different sports. As a rugby fan it's great to see the channel playing AT LEAST two games per weekend of either premiership or european rugby. Plus during the international period it shows all of England's games. It's also a great channel for watching cricket over the summer, both domestic, one day games and of course bigger test matches such as the previous Ashes. It doesn't stop here though and with a quick flick through ... more

Premium Review Sky Sports 1: Sky high sports (203 words)

Sky sports bring you arguably the best sporting action of any UK sports channel. It's dominated primarily by football matches, most of which are premiership games at the weekend and it always shows the biggest games of the season. On top of this it's the best place to get all of the European football action, for example the champions league and Euro cup. Sky Sports is a subscription channel from Sky. At the moment it is availible for around £25 for current Sky subscribers. The reason I purchased it was for its Premiership Football coverage, on a normal weekend it will have two premiership matches on "Ford Super Sunday". There is also normally La Liga matches on Saturday and Sunday nights. However there is not as much premiership football as you think, they rarely have a game on Saturday nless it is two of the big four that are playing each other. They also have tennis from the Opens and Golf from the Ryder Cup. They also have the odd international football match too. Oh, and darts. You may debate that it ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Sky Sports 1: The Sky is the limit (237 words)

If you cannot beat them then you have to join them. I resisted the temptation to get Sky for so long. As a massive sports fan I have resisted the temptation to get Sky up till the last month. Being a Virgin customer I was hoping that Setanta might begin to rival them in terms of sports but that just isn't going to happen. I have had to stump up and pay the extra money for my Subscription. Now of course I have seen Sky Sports 1 plenty of times around friends houses and down the pub but having it at home is great. They have all the major sporting events. The Ashes, football and Rugby. The coverage is great and the commentators and pundits make a mockery of the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review GREAT SPORTS CHANNEL (369 words)

Every sports fan must know by now that this is the best sports coverage channel out there. They show a wide variety of sports from football to netball. However skysports 1 is mainly broadcast to show football matches and I have to say the coverage is excellent. There are least two live premier league games on over the weekend and they include my favourite commentator which is Andy Gray. His voice really gets you on the edge of your seat beacuse he is just so passionate about each game. They also have a pre match report, half time analysis and post match analysis for each game and it is really detailed as they look at all aspects of the game that ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Sky Sports 1: The best place for the best sports (419 words)

Up until the end of last summer, we had Sky Sports as part of our Sky package, and although it was handy having it, I never really appreciated having it until we cancelled it as part of our subscription. Although I have sourced sports news from other sources and can find out results easily enough, the Skysports package does have exclusive rights to a lot of the major sports events we get in the UK. For many people, the football is probably the most attractive feature of the channel, with a selection of matches being shown every now and then, the FA Cup, lower league fixtures, sports roundups and updates, and the Saturday programme that documents all the action ...  Read the complete review
