Advantages: Live premier league games, great analysis

Disadvantages: There isn't always much on in the day

Every sports fan must know by now that this is the best sports coverage channel out there. They show a wide variety of sports from football to netball. However skysports 1 is mainly broadcast to show football matches and I have to say the coverage is excellent.

There are least two live premier league games on over the weekend and they include my favourite commentator which is Andy Gray. His voice really gets you on the edge of your seat beacuse he is just so passionate about each game.

They also have a pre match report, half time analysis and post match analysis for each game and it is really detailed as they look at all aspects of the game that has just been played.

Pre match report - This usually includes a word from both sets of managers before the game, the starting line-ups for each team, a look at the table, and the analysts views on what they think will happen in the upcoming game.

Half time analysis - This usually involves the analysts talking about the half of football that has just taken place. They look at the goals, good chances, poor chances, and what they think the outcome will be in the second half.

Post match analysis - This is where the analysts look back at the game and analyse what went right and what went wrong. Also you usually hear each of the managers talking about what their take on the game was and how they thought their team performed. It usually ends with a look at the current league table and then ends with the highlights of the game.

Another great programme is football first on a saturday night because you can watch around an hour of highlights from your selected premier league game for that day. This is done by clicking the red button on your remote and I have never seen such long highlights on a channel before.

Overall sky sports 1 is a great channel to have if you love sports, especially football. The coverage is fantastic because it is brought to you live and with in depth analysis to enjoy.
