Sky Sports 1
Disadvantages: A bit more expensive
As a Sky+ subscriber, I have the full Sky package. One of the main and biggest advantages of this is that I have access to SkySports which are my favourite channels.
The channels offer a wide range of sports, which include;
- Football (Barclays Premier League, Coca-Cola Championship, UEFA Champions League, Carling Cup, Coca-Cola League 1 and League 2, La Liga, Scottish Premier League and the end of year Play-offs for the Coca-Cola leagues.)
It may cost you a lot extra per month which all adds up in the end, but the package is definitely worth it for any sports fan as it has something for everyone, no matter your taste.
During the UEFA Champions League coverage, Sky Sports allow their viewers to view all of the games at once using an addition called Multi-screen which shows all the games in the little screens.
I would say that Sky Sports 1 is more football than anything as the other channels cover the rest of the sport. You've also got the Gillette soccer specials which cover everygame in the week or weekend through the UK. There are also many special programmes that are aired and screened on SkySports.
The coverage is undeniably the best that there is, BBC or ITV really cannot compete with SkySports, even in the terms of commentators and presenters, the shows are just far superior than both channels that provide similar events.
Overall, SkySports is definitely worth the extra money and I would recommend every true sport fan to subscribe to the service as it's well provided and worth it.
