Not quite such top sports action (Sky Sports 2)

Advantages: Brilliant coverage, full range of sports

Disadvantages: You do have to pay for it

If you're a sports fan then you need Sky Sports. Sky Sports 2 is not as essential as Sky Sports 1 but you'll find the odd event that you really want to watch on 2 rather than 1. For example the England football matches tend to be on 2, the US Open tennis (in all it's interactive glory), odd FA Cup replays etc. It's quite a clever ploy of Sky to make you buy both channels.

Having said this the coverage on 2 is up to Sky Sports 1's high standards, footy is usually in widescreen and Dolby Surround as is their cricket coverage.

Like I said before, if you're serious about your sports, subscribe to Sky Sports 2. While the Premiership is usually shown on Sky Sports 1, the Nationwide and England matches tend to be on 2. I'm not 100% sure how much the sports package is on it's own as I buy the full package for £32 a month. Whatever, it's worth it.
