Advantages: Football/sport updates as they happen

Disadvantages: Repeated, hour long limit when quiet

The first channel I watch EVERY time i turn on the TV. Available 24 hours a day, you know theres always something interesting when theres nothing on tv. I often find myself reverting to sky sports news all the time when i watch tv, after a program, I will always check for updates.

Sky Sports news is mostly dedicated to football however it being said, other sports get a big mention too, especially at different times of the year ie Wimbledon, US Masters, Cricket World Cup etc

There is constant news filtering through to Sky Sports News, and what really gets me is the gold "Breaking News" bar at the bottom, there's no better feeling than seeing your team mentioned in Breaking News. Theres also constant stats on the screen, rolling through different Sports and leagues.

It is made up of several elements, news, intereraction with fans and players, texts, emails. A great source for updates on Saturdays at 3pm when your waiting for updates on your team with Jeff Stelling

Also Sky Sports News is recognised by players as the main source of news to fans, and there is always alot of big name interviews and talks, trying to get to the news first, which in fairness they usually do. The news is based around a hourly period, whereby they start again with the main news stories at the top of the hour. They have many people situated around the world and not only give you updates on UK sport but also every corner of the world. The only downside is that on quiet days news often gets repeated and it can become frustrating.

Ther presenters are always well presented, and very rarely get anything wrong, but when they do they make a joke out of it and its good viewing.

Its not a thing you can recommend to people to, but if your interested in sport, or bored, it makes good viewing
