Sky Sports News is a channel that normally comes with a Sky package, however you can also access Sky Sports news via freeview.

Sky sports news covers sporting news, yes you guessed it. It also gives you regular updates and scores, breaking news and transfers when relevant. The show runs mainly on hourly slots but does seem to revolve around football. Every hour the show starts with brief updates on breaking news and then goes into it on more depth.

I would say that the channel covers 85% of football, the rest seems to be other sports such as golf, cricket, tennis, rugby and boxing. The show also shows upcoming fixtures and current league table positions.

The show has several presenters who are all to a good standard, it also runds for 24 hours and is often watched by me (as a sports fan) when there is nothing else on.

When there are live sport events running during the time sky sports is on they will give you updates of current scores, if it is a big game then they will also show a 'goal alert' which updates you straight away.

Overall I would recommend Sky Sports News for football fans and give it a rating of 5/5, purely because I just cannot be without it!
