From August 2006, Sky Travel began showing reality TV, giving viewers an insight into real life stories from around the world and Sky Travel Extra dedicated its airtime to documentaries. Sky Travel, Sky Travel Extra and Sky Travel Shop programmes can be seen on the Sky Travel channels, on Sky Three and Sky Two on Sky and Freeview.

I enjoy watching Sky Travel. The places they visit always give me ideas for where I'd like to go next time I have a holiday. There is usually a short film clip showing the main attractions of the resort. Then the presenters talk about the offers available (and discounts, if there are any.) After this they describe a range of accomodation types and give you an idea of the prices. There is normally a really good hotel, a modest one and self catering facilities. This channel I have used about twice just to see the prices they charge and the locations they visit before I go to the travel agent to book my holiday. I find the presentation to be Ok and the resorts they show quiet interesting although I usually can get cheaper prices if you haggle with the travel agent. The picture quality is good and so is the sound I do have to question the presenters knowledge you guess they are there just to sell (which they are), they don’t seem to knowledgeable abut the product they are selling.
