The Box - Music television YOU control.

This channel has such potential, but it is let down by being rubbish. Not a great review, I'll admit but there is more to come.

The Box must be held responsible for a great many crimes against music, especially the AWFUL Daphne and Celeste and the equally nauseating Lolly. Whenever I turn on The Box (which I do every morning) I am greeted with either an advert, or more often than not, a list of choices. It seems that The Box very rarely play any actual music videos. Maybe I'm just unlucky.

Now, I know that you'll say that if I don't like the music I could always phone up and make my own selection, but I am not willing to pay to choose a tune since I only watch The Box before I go to work/university. There are groups (the aforementioned Lolly and Daphne & Celeste) whose entire pop careers must rely almost entirely on The Box. Occasionally a decent song is played but these seem to be few and far between.

As far as I'm concerned, The Box is a crime against music and should be tried and convicted of several violations of human rights. The charges are the infliction of Daphne & Celeste, Lolly, F-email, etc. on a poor and helpless public. I do not believe that anyone phones up and pays money to select the dire tunes (and I use the word "tune" loosely) that this channel plays.

Sorry, but this channel gets a big thumbs down from me.
