Advantages: Good quality programming

Disadvantages: A lot of repeats

Having recently got a freeview box we are still getting used to the vast array of channels now available to us, unfortunately most of them are pants so the one that usually makes it way onto the tv is Dave. Supposedly named because 'everyone knows a Dave' it features what mainly seems to be repeats of programmes such as Top Gear.

I presume this channel is aimed at men going by the name but i find myself watching it quite a lot as it does show some of my favourite programmes especially QI which is presented by the fabulously funny and scarily clever Stephen Fry and Never Mind the Buzzcocks.

Each day there tends to be 2 or 3 hours of the same programme which can get a bit boring-on your 6th episode of Top Gear you tend to lose the will to live a bit, even the novelty of laughing at Jeremy Clarksons early 1990's perm wears off. It does also show new programming though like Mock the Week and World Rally.

To sum up you can usually find something worth watching on this channel.
