Dave is one of the best channels on TV! I would be good on if it were just on Sky but to have it on the free service Freeview aswell is just brilliant! Dave is part of the UKTV channels, who have recently slightly changed all the channel names, with Dave being one of the first to change and become "the home of witty banter". This slogan fits the channel perfectly with show such as Top Gear, QI, Mock the Week and Have I Got News for You. Daves linup throughout the day usually follows a similar pattern with motoring shows such as Speeders and Top Gear during the weekdays, Ray Mears and Dragons den in the early evenings and "Quiz-coms" such as Mock the Week and QI in the later evenings. One of the downsides to Dave is that they repeat programs throughout the day, for example, an episode of Top Gear shown at 10am will be repeated at 2pm and 6pm, which can get annoying and you can feel like you are just watching endless repeats. The Dave Ja View channel (channel no 25 on freeview) shows the Dave programs an hour later than on the original Dave. This can be useful as you can switch to Dave Ja View if you dont like whats being shown on Dave, or see the start of a program you may have only come in to half way through. Overall Dave is one of the best channels on Freeview and makes Freeview a service worth having.
