Advantages: Great nostalgic tv shows

Disadvantages: Lots of repeats

Dave is on channel 19 (freeview) or sky 111. I have a freeview box and Dave+1 (Dave Ja Vu) is on channel 25. The channel was previously called UK TV Gold 2, but it was renamed Dave as during it's relaunch it was decided that the programmes would be aimed towards men and 'everybody has a mate called Dave'

Programmes include Top Gear, Dragon's Den, Mock the Week, Never Mind The Buzzcocks and Red Dwarf. All of these episodes are repeats, mostly of programmes shown on the BBC. More recently, they aired their first original mini series; Red Dwarf: Back To Earth which was set after the end of series 8.

Although it's aimed towards men, I really like the channel and it's quickly become one of my favourites. I know a lot of women that feel the same. They often have themed nights where all of the programmes will be from the same series. I really like this idea as sometimes all I feel like doing is vegging on the couch with a glass of wine and losing myself in whatever I'm watching!

The only criticism I have of Dave, is that they show a LOT of repeats. Because they don't make any of their own programmes they have a very limited choice and this does lead to them showing things over and over again.

Summary: Ideal to while away the time with!
