The Travel Channel is available on sky digital and is available in most cabled areas. The Travel Channel, is simply a channel full of ideas for holidays. There are programmes for all different types of holidays.

Even if your not planning a holiday, you can still watch the channel just to take a closer look at some off the countries they visit. Travel Live, is a useful show with people phoning in and offering tips and advice on destinations. Travel Live is on everyday on The Travel Channel.

The Travel Channel is a 24-hour channel, through the morning there is Travel Direct, a bit like the TV TRAVEL SHOP, where the Travel Channel sells holidays.

The Channel is great entertainment and has a lot to offer, a brilliant channel if you’re planning a holiday and a great channel to watch even if you’re not planning to go on holiday. There are very good, well made programmes.

UPDATE: The channel has recently announced that it is suffering poor ratings and is not recieving any subscription money form Sky digital so it has had to cut its hours. The channel is rumoured to close down if it continues to recieve poor financial and ratings figures.

FURTHER UPDATE: This channel has now ceased all broadcatsing on ntl: analogue and digital, on digital it was replaced by SKY Travel.
