Advantages: enables you to watch TV and not be fined

Disadvantages: shows already shown on Sky, no real live sports, too much rubbish!

£103 for the priviledge of watching a TV with 40% (cos i can get channel 5)of the stations funded by the public. Now well let me see is that a good deal?

I am a sports fan so i get the Olympics every four years, world cup or Euro champianships every two years. Match of the DAy is going and is already on too late and too early for the repeat!

I don't watch soaps, i work so i don't watch daytime TV. SO what do i get for my money! Well 6pm-11pm 5 days a weeks and then a weekend of kids programs and then shows for the masses and more often than not utter drivel!

I know it has to be funded somehow, but could i pay for what I use! lets have a box like you get in hotels! I would like to watch this at a cost of 50 pence! The average family would spend over £103 so the BBC would make even more! Surely this is fairer! And afterall we all want fairer taxes! The rich, as we are constantly being told by lefties, "have" to pay more! So why not let the people that watch the most pay the most!

I already know the arguments agianst what i have suggested! poorer families couldn't afford it, but hey might this not encourage them to go the the library which is FREE!
