we have now entered a period whereby what you see is what you pay for. This worries me as I have resisted sattelie TV for so long.

I think the Television Licence for the BBC is comparitivley fair when compared to what is being charged by the Sky brigade.

I feel confident, although there is dross on the BBC, that the quality of the programmes is better than that being offered by the staellite channels.

My parents ahve satellite and I have seen so many poor channels I wonder what it is they are paying for. Many of the channels are in a foreign language and are gratuitious.

I am content to pay my BBC fee as I know that I am getting good programmes. I dread the day, and so far nobody has said what is to happen, when they switch of analogue and force us all onto digital.

Granted, the stations supported with advertising revenues, independent stations, also produce good quality programmes. My comparision is with satellite. BskyB are expensive by the time you add on all the premium channels. So, keep on going Beeb. Your still worth your keep.
