Disadvantages: An exorbitant license fee and lots of repeats

It seems very unjust that we have to pay the license fee purely for the privelege of watching BBC when the other companies pay for their programmes through advertising.

If the BBC don't want to interrupt their programmes with adverts, fine, but why can't they put them at the end of a programme? This would do away with the need to charge for a license and also give us time to put the kettle on, the cat out or whatever!!!

So many of their programmes are old repeats as well, even at peak times and introducing adverts between programmes would generate the revenue to make a few more of the costume and period dramas which they used to excel at.

It seems to be pure snobbery that stops them from having adverts like most of the other channels. Have they ever asked the viewers what we think?
