Advantages: Only Fools is a classic

UKTV Gold is one of those safe channels that you can always find something to watch on. The reason for this is the fact that it primarily shows classic British comedies. On my Virgin cable package it can be found on channel 124 with a one hour delay channel on 125 so you have two chances to watch each show.

The downside to this channel is that the entiure schedule is made up of repeats but in most cases these comedies are of such good standard and quality they are the sort of shows that you are quite happy to watch over and over again. They also have the occasional film which is also a comedy with films such as Trading Places and A Fish Called Wanda.

It is the comedy classics that make this channel, they do show a lot of Fools and Horses re - runs and some of these are excellent and certainly stand the test of time. At the moment they are also showing The Royle Family which is a great comedy as well as Open All Hours which I really like.

This one of thoise channels that I always check out if there is absolutely nothing else on as it is a pretty safe bet most of the time.
