Advantages: Good comedy series' shown
Disadvantages: Constant repeats, re-runs
G.O.L.D. (Go on Laugh Daily - seriously, this is what it stands for now!), was, as other reviewers have said, UKTV Gold.
The trouble with this is that they've changed the name of the channel and they've changed the number I have to tap into my remote to watch it, but the content has remained the same.
For some, it may be great to have 'The Royle Family', 'Only Fools and Horses', 'Open All Hours', 'The Vicar of Dibley', etc. on repeat ALL the time; which for the first six months to a year of receiving the channel was fine. However, it is now repeats and re-runs 'ad nauseum'.
They often have a comedy film on a Friday evening, which can be a bit of a hit or miss affair, dependant upon your taste in comedy.
They also have back to back shows of, for example, 'Fawlty Towers', on a Saturday, so, if you want to catch a whole series in one sitting, then this is the channel for you.
One final drawback with this channel, is that they try to re-package the same programmes as something new - for example, they had Saturday Stacks - which in reality was 'Only Fools and Horses' again!
The main advantage of this channel is that you know that it's safe to watch and that the comedy is good - as long as you don't mind the repeats.
Summary: You'll love this channel for a few months, then tire of the endless 'repeats'
