I don't know what has happened to VH1 over the past week or so but suddenly they have discovered that there is a whole audience of rock and indie fans out there that aren't being catered for in the non digital music television market. I was suprised and pleased when we tuned in around midnight and discovered this new program called ... Read the complete review

VH1 is a great music channel. It shows a lot of older songs from the 60s, 70s, and more prominantly, the 80s and 90s. It also shows some recent chart songs, but tends to have a few particular favourites, which at the moment seem to be "Overload" by the Sugababes and "Black Coffee" by All Saints, which are great tracks so I ... VH1 as a music channel is tosh, compared with MTV et al.But, it does have 2 or 3 of the best music programmes running on it. The first is 'Behind the music' a series of 1 hour specials on famous artists charting their rise to fame and where they are now, including video/news clips, interviews and narration. These programmes are ... Read the complete review

Since I have had Digital Television I have been able to watch VH1 Classic. This channel offers a blend of popular music videos from the last 30 odd years. Slade, Bruce Springsteen, Abba, Bill Haley, Madonna to name but a few. Over the last few months I have noticed that the videos that they play have widened in choice, offering an even larger ... The best old and new music on VHI, one of the best music channel very rarely plays the boy bands but some classic music from the past. It has some excellent theme week-ends like best music from the ‘80’s. There is so much rubbish music these days that VH1 us like a breath of fresh air. I love the music from the past and this ... This is one of the best music stations as it does a very large variety of music and interviews. Most of the presenters on this channel are great and down to earth as to some other music channels. The weekends of different eras and different band days and nights are also brilliant and although you might not like the group it covers it ... Read the complete review

These days there are so many music channels, especially if you have sky digital. I, regularly watch VH1 on sky digital channel 443. I, personally think it’s a very good channel. It plays non-stop hits from all eera’s, the 90’s, 80’s, 70’s etc. That’s what I like about VHI, is that it plays a wide diversity ... Read the complete review

A great big Thank you, to VH1!! At least I can still get some "decent" music on the rubbish music channels we are stuck with these days, now that MTV saw it fit to scrap Super Rock, which was really popular, so how the hell can they justify it? But, anyway, it's a really good mixture of old stuff and new stuff, to be honest, I ... Read the complete review

VH1 is the most boring music channel the world of cable and satellite has ever bought into our homes. Firstly the presenters all belong on Radio 4, they are so frighteningly conservative in their opinions that you’d think they were having a competition on who can present the blandest prelude to a song. It seems that an extreme conservation ... Read the complete review

VH-1 is a music channel which shows the biggest hits of past years including the 70's 80's and 90's. During the day, you've got the 'non-stop video hits' which is a real mixture, they show artists like Madonna, U2, Paul Macartney, Queen, Travis, Kylie and loads more. It's a great programme for the mum's ... Read the complete review

VH-1 is another music channel but this one put's music on that was good in the last decade, and it is nice to hear your old favourites. However my favourite programme is Behind The Music, this looks at a famous person's life and how they became famous. A very good programme which lets you know the inside and personal life of a singer. I ... Read the complete review

Please for christ's sake can we have some other music on television apart from the stuff that is rammed down our gulklets continually. When VH1 launched it was meant to be different but it looks like another MTV to me but with the odd program that trys to be different. I think I have lost count of the number of times I have swapped ... Read the complete review

In my opinion compared to other music channels i don't think it's VH 1 for me it's more like number 3. VH 1 tends not to have the more modern songs running very often. If you tune into VH 1 you should expect to hear songs which are way over the hill nowadays. I'm not really into the old tracks. I prefer to listen to the more recent ... Read the complete review

On of the great things about the VH-1 and VH-1 Classic channels is that there is always something good on one of them. If you think that there is nothing to watch on any channel, ao you just have a few minutes to watch something as you are waiting to go out, simply go to channel 444 on Sky Digital and even if nothing takes your fancy there go back ... If you are into 80s music and 90s music this is the channel For you. Sound quality and Picture quality via Sky digital Are outstanding. VH1 simply plays better songs than MTV. It's true. It has more style, more flare, etc. VH1 manages to play old good songs, and new good songs (which are few and far between nowadays). The only thing that I think let's it down are it's themed days / weekends like, 'Celine Dion' weekend. I also think ... Read the complete review

VH-1 classic is the best music channel on the TV, it is brilliant. I have to admit its mostly on during the day, even with SKY digital there are still times when there is nothing on. I'm not stuck in a timewarp, I enjoy most of the new pop music about - Steps, Five, Billie Piper, Britney etc - sad I know. But VH1 offers me a fab music channel. Much better than MTV, who play far too much dance music for my liking (though I like to boogie like the next man). They mix it very well, from eighties stuff to ... Read the complete review

VH-1, and especially its sister VH-1 classic, are great for us 30 somethings (who am I trying to kid, I am 47!) who have out grown the whinings of Donna Air and her like. At this very moment, I am writing my musings to Steve Harley's Cockney Rebel - typical of the output of VH-1 Classic, which concentrates on 60s, 70s and 80s. ... Read the complete review
