Advantages: I suppose it'll keep your other half quiet
Disadvantages: You might have to watch it too
Wedding TV has been the bain of my life over the last 2 years... ever since we got engaged the other half has been constantly tuned-in to what must be one of the world's worst TV channels. I'm happy to say that we're now married and I don't have to watch that crap anymore! :)
Wedding TV can be found on Sky and Freesat, not Freeview (thankfully). It's free-to-air, but that's about where the positives stop. The channel is obsessed with weddings (it's not called Wedding TV for nothing) and broadcasts 24 hours a day... guys, run and hide!
I can't comment on all the programmes that are shown, but the majority of the ones I saw seemed to focus on American weddings where the bride and groom's friends organise the big day... in other words, it's a reality show (yes, another one). One thing that will annoy you is when they tell you how much they've spent at the end and they say like $400 for a photographer - what!? How come ours is costing over £1,000!?!?
Wedding TV does also have UK programmes, some broadcasting from wedding fairs and even the National Wedding Show from Birmingham (which luckily I didn't have to go to). There's also the occasional fashion show, but none of the ones I saw featured wedding night lingerie.
In short, don't let your fiancée find out about this channel. If she does, hide the remote, destroy the TV or consider breaking up with her... it really is that bad!
Summary: Sky has hundreds of other channels, watch one of them instead

- 26/06/09 This made me laugh! Such a bloke's point of view! I must admit tho I was totally wedding obsessed when I was engaged; now, I'd rather boil my own head than watch that stuff. Whatever did I see in it? |

- 26/06/09 I agree with vinnie3009! One of the reasons I'm still engaged is the whole thought of the actual wedding (and the cost) terrifies me! |
