Advantages: Good family entertainment. Best show on the tv

Disadvantages: highly addictive. you will find yourself getting cold sweats if you miss an episode!!

Well guys we are nearly there. Less than a week to go until the best TV show on British television is back on our goggle box. I'm a celebrity get me out of here is fundamentally, a game show. But is also classed as a reality show as the players are many d list celebs who are so desperate for fame that they are willing to eat kangaroo testicles just to get their face back on prime time television.
Basically the format of the show is that twelve celebs are flown to Australia. Once there and having sampled the five star luxury of a couple of nights in the Vercace hotel. They are then taken into the Australian outback, where they have to survive for the next fortnight. All the celebs must live together and run camp. Each having specific chores to carry out. Then each morning Ant and DEC who present the show go into the jungle to reveal who has been nominated for the bush tucker trial.
The bush tucker trials are the stuff of even the most scariest of nightmares. I cant understand how someone would willingly get buried in a pit of rats or put their hands in boxes full of snakes. But you have to congratulate them for their sheer guts in these situations. These bush tucker trials are just the most compulsive of viewing. You will find yourself hiding behind your cushions and cringing at the experiences the celebs put them through in order to win stars. Thes stars then convert to ingredients for that nights camp dinner. I have to say if I was nominated that camp would go hungry!!!
Ant and DEC really are the cement that keeps this show together.; Their ever witty commentary and banter will have you laughing out loud. I just do not think that this show would work with anybody else presenting it and both Ant and DEC show off their amazing presenting talent in this show which has in turn won them high profile television awards. The chemisry between these two presenters is just genius.
In the second week of the show The public can vote on who they want to keep in the jungle. With one celebrity being voted off everyday. This finally concludes with a celebrity king or queen of the jungle. Previous winners include Biggins, kerry katona, tony blackburn, carol thatcher, phil tuffnell, matt Willis. The current king of the jungle is that loveable cheeky chappy joe swash. Because of the popularity of the show it is safe to say that all celebs profiles are blown out of the water. Many go from opening a pound shop in their local town, to being on every magazine cover and bagging themselves some fantastic tv deals in the process. I guess that explains why they allow themselves to be put through such horrendous trials!!
Love it or loathe it I can guarantee next week every one will be talking about it. You would have to live on the moon to escape the constant media coverage of this show. All the people in work will be discussing their favourite contestants and also who they think is just vile (there is always a camp villan). The producers of this show have the genius ability to get just the right mixture of celebrity campers. Its as if they light the blue touch paper and then stand back to enjoy the fireworks. Previous celebrity campers who have caused trouble at camp include David van day and Timmy mallett. Van day was the ultimate stirrer and trouble maker from the time his little toe entered the camp. He was really cringeworthingly nasty and malicious but it made the show even more addictive. Also Timmy mallett who was in my opinion was the most annoying celeb ever to grace the show. God I think if i had to endure his childish and annoying character for more than ten minutes I would have me running for cover in that pit of rats in no time.
I would certainly recommend this programme to anyone who hasn't seen it before. I am sure you will become hooked. Which can be a little bit annoying when you have other things you need to be doing. It is also good clean family entertainment and my kids love it. Although I would advise that children are supervised as sometimes the trials can be a little bit scary. I am waiting with baited breath to see what celebrity offerings they are going to give us this year. But one thing is for sure whatever mixed bag of celebs go in it will make for compulsive viewing

Summary: My take on the best reality show around. Blows big brother out of the water!!
