sparksteroid Eastenders: ... is a television soap opera which has been going for over forty years, which is significantly older than me. I grew up with all the main long running soaps such as Eastenders, Coronation Street and Emmerdale due to the both of my parents being fans. Although I don t find it hugely entertaining most of the time, watching Eastenders has become somewhat of a habit and has become embedded into my weekly routi...

darren55 Star Trek - The Next Generation
... Trek the Next Generation hence forward called TNG is a TV series made by paramount in the mid eighties, it told the story of the federation approximately 60 years after the original Star Trek series. TNG was at its peak the highest rated TV show in America and ran for 9 series, TNG is considered by most Star Trek fans as the best of the canon and re-invented a dieing franchise. A bit of history - In the 1960 s Gene Roddenberry invented a sci-fi show which featured a ship on a 5 year mssion which explored strange new planets and places, to boldly go as the English lit experts hate with that split infinitive. Anyway the series was after initial slowness hugely popular...

moo2moo NCIS - Naval Criminal Investigative Service
... another US crime drama but this one is entirely staffed by US naval personnel with the odd Mossaad not so secret agent thrown in. As plot lines go they re usually very well written if a little on the gory side for an 8pm showing. I certainly wouldn t allow my offspring to watch a programme where dead naked women hang from trees with hearts carved in their backs or where body parts are FedExed to peoples houses in vats of acid. Still lifes never dull with the NCIS agents and its most certainly unpredictable. The main team are comprised of the very clinical team leader Jethro Gibbs who spends his spare time hand carving an enormous boat in his basement, a basement wit...

hestorge My Friends Tigger and Pooh
... first came across My Friends Tigger & Pooh when the channel Playhouse Disney was recommended to me by a friend. Although my daughter is only 9 months old and doesn t understand what the programme is about, she sits, stares and laughs. I have never been a fan of the the Winnie the Pooh stories and find the films to be very dull to look at so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this new and updated version. It is very bright to look at and has music which my daughter recognises instantly and which grabs her attention. The stories are still set in The Hundred Acre Wood and feature many of the original characters along with some new ones. Theres Pooh Bear as ...
