3rd Rock From the Sun is an American comedy in which aliens have come to Earth and are living amongst us to study the planet and experience being human. The Solomon family comprising of Tommy (a supremely intelligent teenager in high school), Dick (a high school proferssor), Harry (a member of the crew used to carry the transmitter so that updates on their mission can be given) and Sally (a military leader on her planet but to live as a gorgeous young woman on Earth) are the aliens whose job it is to live as humans but not alter the future of the planet and to not be found out to be aliens.
This show is amazingly funny and insightful as it is designed to make you think about what aliens would be thinking of us and even in the names a clever piece of subtle comedy was used (Tom, Dick and Harry) and you find yourself feeling sympathy and warmth towards the characters as Sally and Don (a police officer who few would find attractive but Sally thinks is gorgeous) try to get things together or as Dick tries to get Mary (a professor who works in the same office as Dick) to fall for him.
This show is a truly brilliant piece of comedy and one that I would say is well worth a watch by anyone.

Summary: A great show and more intelligent than many realise.
