Advantages: Lets you unwind through laughter
Disadvantages: You might not like the humour
8 out of 10 Cats is a television comedy panel game made by Zeppotron (a subsidiary of Endemol) for Channel 4.
The name comes from an old Whiskas cat food advert that claimed - 8 out of 10 cats prefer Whiskas!
It in currently on Thursday night on Channel Four at 10pm.
Hosted by Jimmy Carr, who also does his own gags through the show, the main basis of the show is an opinion poll of questions put to people around the U.K.
There are two panels. The team captains each week remain the same and at the moment these are, Sean Lock and Jason Manford.
First round is called - What are you talking about?
The contestants are shown a picture on screen, usually of a politician or famous person, and as the title would suggest, they have to guess the subject they are discussing. There are five of these questions.
"What Are You Talking About?" - The polling organisation asked the public what they were talking about during the week. The teams have to try and guess the top five.
Second Round is - Believe It or Not". The teams are given a statistic and try and guess if it is true or false.
Third Round - And the Winner Is..." The teams are given a question from a poll and then they try and guess what is on the top of that poll.
This is a show that will have you laughing out loud. I also read a review a few moments ago on Never minc the Buzzcocks and this is a similar format.
If you have never seen it, give it a try. You might just like it.
Summary: fab show
