Newest Review: ... (at checkin and airside) dealing with customers prior to them flying Easyjet airline. The customers form two types - your entertaining "cute" stories of hen dos and the typical drunken clientel of the airline, and customers that are stroppy and have turned up late for flights and therefore have an arguement with staff. It is actually a very clever marketing tool for the airline as it shows that consistently it deals with people who do not follw the very procedures that make it cheap; it means that people understand when flying the airline to expect delays and not to turn up late - all resulting in the easiest to manage customers ... more

Premium Review Airline: Marketing tool... and a clever one! (208 words)

Airline is an entertaining show currently showing on friday primetime at 8pm - this suprises me as I'm not sure the shows content warrants this spot! The basic premise is that the film team follow staff on the ground (at checkin and airside) dealing with customers prior to them flying Easyjet airline. The customers form two types - your entertaining "cute" stories of hen dos and the typical drunken clientel of the airline, and customers that are stroppy and have turned up late for flights and therefore have an arguement with staff. Premium Review Airline changed my life (851 words)

Airline has had quite an impact on my life. When it first came on, I watched a few episodes here & there and to be honest found it rather dull & repetitive. How many times can you sit through the drunk person who refuses to admit they've had a drink, the person who turns up late for their flight & rants at the desk officer who informs them that they can't board, the amusing rugby players who want to sing all the way to their destination and the crying lady who realises she hasn't got her passport with her? Things change though and one event changed my opinion forever. I'd booked a new years escape to Prague with my girlfriend ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Airline: Come fly with me, let's fly, let's fly away!! (1035 words)

I love watching "fly on the wall" programmes and Airline is the ultimate show for me, working in the Travel Industry the staff are always in the line of fire whether it is their fault or not and Airline is the programme that shows the truth about what actually happens, as the camera crews follow staff and customers around the airport exposing volatile staff and customers! Airline first exploded onto our screens in 1998 and the Airline that was followed was Britannia Airlines, they decided to terminate the show and Easyjet was approached to replace them and are still on our screens to this day. The camera crew follow staff and passengers ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Anything but Easyjet (844 words)

January 1999 saw the first programme in a series of ITV programmes which would follow Easyjet staff based in various airports around the UK, giving a warts and all account of their day to day working, and sometimes personal lives. Homes around the country with the theme tune to the show...'Come fly with me, let's fly. let's fly away', and soon many were hooked, as this was first shown when reality shows and fly on the wall documentaries were few and far between. At first, the attention was on the staff and passengers in Luton airport, but when the base in Liverpool airport opened in February 1999, many new characters were introduced. The second series ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Airline: Compulsive Viewing For Fliers .... and Non Fliers (336 words)
by - written on 06/07/01 (Very useful, 150 readings)
Rating:

Airline is the unmissable ‘fly on the wall’ program that looks at the Easyjet company. Based at both Luton and Liverpool airports, the show follows the everyday goings on at the airline; irate customers, delayed flights, arguments between staff and customers, and the lives of the people that work there. The latest series was just as good as one before and focussed on what seemed like problem upon problem, which makes very entertaining television to say the least. How smug you feel when you are tucked up in your comfy armchair watching poor passengers miss flights by seconds, get into full scale rows with customer service staff, find they have come ...  Read the complete review
