***Plot*** Jennifer Garner stars as Sydney Bristow, a secret agent working as a double agent for the CIA and a rogue group called SD6. Hiding the truth about being a spy from everyone - including her best friends- Sydney pretends to work for a bank, going on 'business trips' regularly. What her friends don't know is that her business trips are actually reconnaissance missions sometimes to retrieve microchips or rescue fellow spy colleagues. ***Characters*** Sydney- Main character - female spy. She's amazing. She does martial arts, often involved in hand to hand combat, and she kicks butt! She also wears amazing disguises with a variety of ...  Read the complete review

The final series of Alias finished a few years ago but it still remains one of my favourite tv shows and I own all the boxsets. It was created by JJ Abrams, the man behind Lost and Fringe. Alias does not contain as many fantasy elements as those shows, this one is more based in reality but you can expect the same twists and turns that you'd expect from those shows. There are 5 series in total and this is my review of a show that kept me hooked for five years. Jennifer Garner stars in this television series as Sydney Bristow, a graduate student working for a secret division of the CIA. The mission of this arm of the CIA is to combat SD-6, a secret terrorist ...  Read the complete review

Everyone has a "favourite" show. Yours might be a CSI one (Ew...that hurt me to even type "CSI", I hate that show that much....no offence to you mass amount of CSI fans out erhe) , or a Soap Opera like Coronation Street, or a fun guy show like "Top Gear", or a game show like Deal or no Deal (seriously though, how can a GAME show be your favourite show???). No matter what your Television cup of tea is, a major percentage of you do love espionage, adventure, drama, romance, and action. Especially if they are all wrapped up in one neat little package. "ALIAS", is that package. I started watching this show about ...  Read the complete review

WHAT IS IT ABOUT: Jennifer Garner stars as Sydney Bristow, a secret agent working for the CIA against the deadly terrorist cell SD6. On the outside, she has a normal life, but in secret she's the James Bond of the female world. The show ran from 2001 to 2006. IS IT ANY GOOD: This show is exciting to begin with, but the repetitive format soon leads to it becoming a bit boring. The good bits, though, are as follows: 1) Sydney - since spy films have a mainly male audience, they've decided to make the spy super sexy in this show. Every episode requires Sydney to put on some elaborate (and often revealing) outfit, and whilst there's no overt ...  Read the complete review

I love Alias! When I found the complete series all in one boxset I was made up! It provided me with hours of entertainment and still shocked me even though it was the second time I'd watched them. The series follows Sydney Bristow (Jennifer Garner) who is a college student but also a double agent working for the CIA and also a black ops division of the CIA. It features Sydney having to do secret missions for both sides of the CIA, recovering information or artifacts. The action sequences are brilliant and believable and the acting is great too. You learn to love the characters and there are so many different emotions throughtout the series you can't help but fall in love ...  Read the complete review
